Sarah Guldalian
MISSION U Director
Sarah Guldalian is the manager of Evangelism Training for Lutheran Hour Ministries. She produces and manages MISSION U School of Witnessing-the witnessing-training program that launched in September 2010. The program is used throughout the United States, in the Concordia university system and seminaries and also internationally.

Guldalian has also developed and now manages LHM's teen witnessing-training program five14, which ran as a pilot event at the 2007 National Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod Youth Gathering in Orlando. Following that debut, it was later invited to the 2010 youth gathering in New Orleans. In New Orleans, five14 launched as a stand-alone LHM program and was responsible for training more than 2,000 teens as a sectional.
Since 2005, Guldalian has managed Equipping to Share, and she is the editor of the Equipping You Through MISSION U newsletter. She has traveled nationally presenting more than 100 evangelism training workshops for various LCMS congregations, institutions and conventions.
Prior to joining LHM, Guldalian worked in television broadcasting with ABC and Warner Brothers' affiliates and in radio with National Public Radio and Emmis Communications. During this time, she recognized an overwhelming need for Christians to rise up in the media.
Guldalian is a 2003 graduate of Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. There she received a bachelor of arts in journalism and mass communication with a major in broadcasting.

Richard P. Cohrs is manager of District and Congregational Relations for Lutheran Hour Ministries, a position he has held since July 2008. In this position, Cohrs communicates the ministry resources and programs of the US Ministries Department to the district offices and congregations of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
Prior to joining Lutheran Hour Ministries, Cohrs was a principal and teacher at various institutions in Michigan, Texas and Illinois and was manager of North America volunteer services for Lutheran Hour Ministries.
Cohrs earned a Master of Education degree from Midwestern State University, Wichita Falls, Texas, and a bachelor’s degree from Concordia College, River Forest, Ill. He was the recipient of the John E. Hermann Award for stewardship. Cohrs also holds membership in the Lutheran Education Association.
Lutheran Hour Ministries, with headquarters in St. Louis, Mo., is a service of the International Lutheran Laymen’s League (Int’l LLL), a volunteer organization of approximately 150,000 members. The Int’l LLL is an auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod and Lutheran Church—Canada. |

| Beatriz Hoppe
Beatriz Hoppe has been serving God through Lutheran Hour Ministries for nine years. As Manager of Multicultural Ministries, she is responsible for the programs that target mainly Spanish-speaking audiences within the United States.

She's the translator/editor and producer of Para el Camino® (the Spanish version of The Lutheran Hour®), of Pastor Klaus' Daily Devotions and of LHM's Seasonal Devotions, and she serves on the Men's NetWork Task Force. She's an elected officer of the National Lutheran Hispanic Mission Society, and a member of the Editorial Board of Missio Apostolica, a publication of the Lutheran Society for Missions.
Before joining LHM, Hoppe worked five years as Manager of Pilot Scheduling for TWA. Prior to that, she held different administrative positions in the Lutheran Church, both in the States and also in Argentina (almost her native country), where her husband served as parish pastor and as professor at Concordia Seminary in Buenos Aires.
Hoppe holds a Bachelor's degree in business and a Professional Lay Worker degree from Concordia Seminary, Buenos Aires, Argentina. She and her husband reside in Ballwin, MO, along with their three adult children and three grandchildren.

| Bruce Sutherland
Bruce Sutherland is a LHM staff member and congregational lay leader. He has trained hundreds of lay people in witnessing to their faith and regularly leads evangelism teams into public places to tell others about Jesus.

| Faith Spelbring, DCE
Faith Spelbring serves as deployed staff member of Lutheran Hour Ministries and is responsible for managing the Regional Outreach Conferences (ROC) with the goal of providing effective outreach training that will help attendees engage their culture with the Gospel. Currently, she is working on eight conferences for the year 2013.

Faith is an alumna of Concordia University in Irvine, California and a Fellow of the Academy of Christian Apologetics, Evangelism and Human Rights in Strasbourg, France. She is currently working on her thesis to earn her Master's degree in Theology from her alma mater. Her thesis explores how the sociological development of young adults throughout their college years impacts the faith of college students.
Prior to working for Lutheran Hour Ministries, Faith served as the DCE of University Lutheran Chapel serving the UCLA campus for seven years. She and her husband Chris live with their three children, Anna (5), Lily (3), and Luke (infant) in Los Angeles. Chris is the pastor of First Lutheran Church in Venice, California.

Heidi has served in Lutheran church-work related roles since 1999 as a foreign missionary, teacher, Director of Christian Outreach, urban ministry coordinator, and coach. Since 2006, she has served as an Equipping to Share presenter with Lutheran Hour Ministries.

Dr. Jeffrey E. Burkart, Associate Dean of the College of Vocation and Ministry and Professor of Educational Media/Communications at Concordia University, St. Paul, MN, is a nationally known teacher, author, speaker, dramatist, and musician who has given over 1,700 presentation and has more than 100 publication to his credit including books, articles, plays, Christian musicals, spiritual songs, hymns, CD recordings, videos and films.

Dr. Burkart earned his BA degree at Concordia Teachers College (now Concordia University), River Forest, Illinois; his MA from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, Nebraska, and his PhD at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. In addition to his teaching and administrative duties at Concordia - St. Paul, he has served as organist at King of Kings Lutheran Church in Roseville, MN for the past 28 year and also served as long and short-term substitute organist throughout the Twin Cities area. Last year he was the recipient of the Alumnus of the Year (Officiam ab Ducere - Leader by Service) Award from Luther High School North, Chicago, IL, and on May 7th of this year Concordia University, River Forest, Illinois confered upon him an Honorary Doctor of Letters degree in recognition of his service to the church, society, and the university.
He has composed numerous hymn texts and tunes and is often commissioned to write hymns for church anniversaries, and other special occasions. Over the past three years he was commissioned to write hymns for the 150th anniversary of the Eastern District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod , the 150th anniversary of First Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cedarburg, WI, the 125th anniversary of St. John's Lutheran Church, Marengo, IL, a children's song for Lutheran Special Education Ministries, and a song for the Wheat Ridge Ministries Hope for China project.
In 1999, the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) commissioned Dr. Burkart to write a musical setting of the Common Table Prayer and a new LWML theme song titled, "In League with Our Lord." He served as keyboard musician and speaker for the 1999 and 2001 LWML international conventions. In 2001 the LWML commissioned him to create a CD of favorite convention hymns for the LWML's 60th Anniversary.
Dr. Burkart recently keynoted at the North Wisconsin Pastors Conference, the Southern Illinois, South Wisconsin, and California/Nevada/Hawaii Educators Conferences, the Northern Illinois Sunday School Teachers Conference, the South Dakota, South Wisconsin, and Texas District Conferences of the LWML. This past summer he was commissioned to write and direct a series of original chancel dramas and hymns for the Region II Convention of the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians held in Rockford, Illinois. This summer and fall he will be the Storyweaver for the Southern District's Intergenerational Gathering in Panama City, Florida, speak at several LWML gatherings, present workshops at the North Wisconsin Professional Workers Conference and keynote for the Michigan District's Pastors Conference.
His latest book, The Hidden Prince, an allegorical folk tale about Christ's unconditional love, was published by Concordia Publishing House. Other books by Dr. Burkart include: The Sonday School Book: Ideas and Resources for Teaching the Faith; Sure Can Use A Little Good News: 12 Gospel Plays in Rhyme; numerous Arch Books; and musicals based on the Book of Jonah ("Man Overboard!") and the story of the three men in the fiery furnace ("Don't Get Burned!"). Dr. Burkart's Easter CD, "Oh, Come, Risen One" was released in 2003 and is the third in a series of CD's that also include "Oh, Come, Lord Jesus" and "Oh, Come, Emmanuel" (Christmas Hymns, Carols, and Spiritual Songs).
Before coming to Concordia University, St. Paul in 1977 Dr. Burkart taught in LC-MS elementary, junior high, and secondary schools in Indiana, Missouri, Nebraska, and Wisconsin. He and his wife, Martha, have three sons (Jonathan 30, David 27, and Andrew 21) and reside in Roseville, MN.

His current role as a Hospice Chaplain has led to an even greater passion for helping others share their faith in Jesus with an unbelieving world. By the grace of God and in partnership with his wife, Nancy Jo, Michael is particularly blessed to have raised three children to adulthood who are all serving the Lord in a variety of settings. Their natural expressions of faith have led each of them to be seen by peers as "go to" people for spiritual encouragement and conversations. That is what a life of witnessing is all about. Michael is excited to be a part of Mission U and looks forward to what is going to be accomplished here by Father God through the Spirit in Jesus name.

| Wendy & Rich Eckart
Prior to retirement, Wendy worked as an LHM employee for ten years. She helped edit booklets and devotions and to produce the Project Connect booklet ministry. She also traveled the United States training congregational members in the art and love of evangelism through LHM's Living for Tomorrow. Wendy has been trained in the Crossways Bible study and through courses at Concordia Seminary.

Richard graduated from the School of Mechanical Engineering at Valparaiso, Indiana. He was involved in the HVAC business in the St. Louis area until retirement.
Both retired and married 53 years, Wendy and Richard travel North America by RV, enjoying Christian fellowship at LCMS churches in each area. During the winter, they plant roots in Cottonwood, Arizona, where they attend Faith Lutheran Church. At Faith, Richard is an elder and member of the choir.
Wendy is a certified pregnancy/parenting consultant for "The House of Ruth," the local crisis pregnancy clinic. Independently funded, Wendy is able to share Christ's love with its clients through prayers, providing Bibles and discipleship.

Deb has taught in public settings for more than ten years. She is a Special Education Teacher for the West Allis - West Milwaukee School District. Previously, she taught in a Wisconsin correctional facility.

Deb has served as an Equipping to Share presenter since 2007. In addition to presenting evangelism training workshops, Deb has also served as a Corporate Trainer for Dale Carnegie Systems.
Deb is a member of Risen Savior Lutheran Church in Franklin, Wisconsin, where she and her family live. At Risen Savior, Deb coordinates the drama team. She has also served by coordinating evangelism programs and sitting on Church Council.

Greg has been a pastor in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod for 22 years and has pastored congregations in Midland, Michigan and Houston, Texas. He and his wife, Susan, have three daughters and live as neighborhood missionaries in League City, Texas.

Mark is a sojourner in the great state of Kansas, seeing the harvest fields plum-full of opportunities for extending the Kingdom of Christ's grace and mercy. He served as parish pastor in two congregations, and currently serves in the Mission's Department of the Kansas District. Mark draws on his experience of being involved in parish leadership and outside of parish leadership to be a Gospel Light, today, to those outside the Church.

Using today's internet and wireless technologies, Mark and his wife, Leigh, are devoted to helping congregations and missional communities extend the reach of the traditional Gospel proclamations and discipleship/catechetical classroom. Building strategic and efficient social media platforms are key for congregational ambassadors to reach those beyond the common church doors.
Mark and Leigh are blessed to have two children, Aaron and Hannah, both of whom are now in their college journeys. Each day is another step on the road toward heaven. Who is coming with us?

| Jim Gau
Pastor Jim Gau graduated from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis in 1990. From there he went to western Kansas and served Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hoxie and Grace Lutheran Church in Hill City. Following this he went on to campus ministry at Kansas State University in Manhattan.

In the Kansas District, Gau served on the district's Youth Board and Evangelism Board. Since 2005 he has been pastor of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Newark, Ohio. He is leading his congregation through the Transforming Congregations process. The goal of this effort is for the church's disciples to reach unchurched families in the community who have children at home.
Gau also serves as circuit counselor, is training as a national church coach, is a district reconciler, and is a national trainer for MISSION U. He completed his STM studies from Concordia Seminary in 2010, with a major in exegesis and a minor in systematic. He and his wife, Claire, have three grown children.

Amy has served as the Project Coordinator for the LCMS Rural and Small Town Mission (RSTM) since 2009. She has spoken at the LCMS National Rural and Small Town Mission National Conference and at Engaging Rural Communities Events. Amy also serves as the editor and main writer for the RSTM newsletter.

Mission U is a new project for Amy. She was excited to work with the Mission U staff to create a new module sensitive to rural and small town issues in 2012.
Amy has been an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Concordia, MO since childhood. Over the last few years, she has served on the Ministry Planning Council, Family Life team, Evangelism team, Future Ministry Planning task force, and led various Bible classes. She and her husband, Chris, have been blessed with four children.

| Lee Hagan
Lee Hagan currently serves as senior pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Concordia, Missouri and as First Vice-President of the Missouri District. He is a 1992 graduate of Concordia University, Seward, Nebraska. He continued his studies at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, earning the Master of Divinity degree in 1996 and the Doctor of Ministry degree in 2011.

He previously served as associate pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Evansville, Indiana from 1996-2002 before coming to Concordia. Most recently, he served as the interim director of LCMS Rural and Small Town Mission in 2011-2012. He has held served in a number of capacities at the district level including as Fourth Vice-President, Chairman of the Board for Congregational Services and member of the Board of Directors of the Missouri District and as a member of the Indiana District Youth Board and Youth Gathering Planning team. A frequent workshop presenter, Lee has spoken on topics such as youth and family ministry, witnessing and assimilation, as well as many issues related to rural and small town ministry. He has written articles for Lutheran Witness and Reporter and served as an announcer for KFUO. He has led mission trips to the Bahamas, Guatemala, and most recently to Cambodia and China.
He is married to Jill (nee Johnson), who works as a speech and language pathologist. They have two children, Caroline and Jack. Lee enjoys reading, traveling, watching University of Kentucky basketball games, and spending time with his family.

He has refereed ice hockey for nearly 25 years, ranging from youth hockey to college-level play. In his spare time, he enjoys carpentry and other building trades. Jim has been married to his wife Andrea for 39 years. They have one married son and two grandchildren, who live in Fredericksburg, Virginia—too far away to suit grandpa.

Tina came to faith in Christ in her twenties and pursued a growing desire to know and serve God. She worked as an accountant and business owner for fifteen years and felt an increasing calling to ministry. Tina completed the Training Leaders for Ministry program through the Mission Training Center in Bronxville New York.

She earned a Masters of Christian Outreach degree from Concordia University in St. Paul in 2006 and is currently serving as the Director of Christian Outreach at St. John's Lutheran Church in Glen Arm, Maryland and the Program Director from the Southeastern District's Mission Development Academy. Her passion is in sharing God's grace with others that they may come to know the Lord and helping others do the same.
Tina has been married to Scott Jasion for twenty-seven years. They live in Fallston Maryland and have two grown sons and a Labrador Retriever. For fun, she enjoys skiing in the winter and kayaking and gardening in the summer.

Dr. Jander was born and raised near Houston , Texas . He attended Lutheran Elementary School in Houston (St. Mark), Concordia High School in Austin , Texas , Concordia Junior College in Austin, Concordia Teachers College in Seward , Nebraska , graduating in 1966 with a B.S. in Education. He completed his Master's Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision in 1972 and his Doctorate in Adult Education in the summer of 2001.

Lou has served as a Lutheran teacher (New York), Lutheran School principal (Florida), Director of Christian Education-DCE, camp director, retreat center program director (Texas), District education and youth executive (Missouri), in the National office of the LCMS as Director of Adult and Leadership Ministry (St. Louis, MO), and Mission & Ministry Facilitator with the Texas District where he worked with congregations in developing a strategic plan for ministry, planning in various areas of congregational ministry, training elders, Sunday school teachers and others, doing workshops on "Telling Your Story" (being a witness in everyday life), many aspects of leadership, "Being a Hospitable Church" (being guest friendly), conducting Consecrated Stewards Programs with congregations (as a trained guest leader) and many others. He also had oversight of the financially assisted ministries located in Southeast Texas and worked with planting new congregations throughout Southeast Texas. The Mission and Ministry Facilitators in Texas also worked with calling congregations in developing a "pastor profile," interpreting demographic information, and completing a congregational self study. He and his wife (of 45 years), Martha (a teacher and writer), have five grown children (all married) and eleven grandchildren. Lou retired from the MMF position in the Texas District at the end of March, 2010. Lou is a Commissioned Minister on the roster of the LCMS, a certified DCE, and holds a Lutheran Teacher's Diploma.

David (wife: Coreen) three children; David is Director of Worship at Redeemer in Austin.
Bethany (husband: Jonathan) one child; Bethany is a stay-at-home mom, runs marathons and is a coach for "Teams in Training".
Ted (wife: Connie) two children; Ted is an active leader in Greenleaf Singers, participates as the King in the St. Louis County Renaissance Fare, teaches music in St. Louis, and directs the adult choir at a church in St. Louis.
Melissa (husband: John) two children; Melissa is now a stay-at-home mom - past teacher in Houston.
Dinah (husband: Christian) three children; Dinah is a stay-at-home mom, does some free lance work in data processing, and with her husband operates a rare book sales business.
Lou is married to Martha Streufert Jander, a teacher (Master's in Early Childhood Education), writer, and editor with numerous published Arch Books, articles, and other books from Concordia Publishing House. She also serves as an early childhood consultant with congregations.
Over the years, Lou has served as a member of district youth committees, circuit youth facilitator, a member of the district and national evangelism committees, and various other boards and committees. He has been a speaker, presenter and workshop leader in various areas: youth leadership, youth ministry, parenting, teacher training, congregational planning, family ministry, stewardship, adult education, witness training and leadership development. He has also written many articles related to different areas of congregational ministry.
In retirement, Lou is currently serving a local congregation as a Licensed Lay Deacon, conducts numerous "assessment" surveys for schools, team inventories, and stewardship training, along with continuing to do numerous workshops in areas of experience. He also is enjoying his passion golf.

| Martha Streufert Jander
Martha Streufert Jander is an author and retired first-grade teacher living in Bastrop, Texas. She has also served the church as the director of both an early childhood center and a preschool.

For eight years she was the editor of Teachers Interaction, and also edited and developed early childhood materials for Concordia Publishing House. Martha is a graduate of Concordia Teachers College, River Forest, Illinois (now Concordia University Chicago) and holds a master's degree in early childhood education from Concordia University, River Forest. She is the wife of Louis C. Jander; is the mother of five, mother-in-law to five and grandmother to 11. She continues to do freelance writing and has a passion for sharing the love of Jesus with others.

Steve formally addressed Corporate America diversity training issues and other multi-cultural movements for Focus on the Family's Public Policy division, being published in Focus on the Family Citizen magazine and Focus online venues regarding these cultural shifts. Overall, he accrued 20-plus years as a Focus on the Family employee.
As a direct descendant of both a Lutheran pastor (mother's side) and a polygamous Mormon bishop (father's side), Steve has been "deputized" by an international apologetics organization to coordinate strategic research on new religions and cults. Over these past almost 30 years, he has engaged in outreach and apologetics endeavors as remote as Nigeria and as close as his computer keyboard. His formal LCMS colloquy certification was in a Director of Evangelism specialization from Christ College Irvine (now Concordia Irvine), ensued by serving a Southern California LCMS congregation and community in a "DE" commissioned capacity for two years.

Traci Kohls
Traci Kohls has served in congregations as a Director of Christian Education in Garland, Texas; Barcelona, Venezuela; Glencoe, Minnesota; and Chaska, Minnesota. She has traveled to Germany, Taiwan, and Canada for missions. She has also served as Urban & Latino Outreach Coordinator at St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Bloomington, Minnesota; and as Program Director of U4C (Urban Cross-Cultural College Consortium).

In May of 2007, Traci graduated with a Master's of Education in Family Education from the University of Minnesota. This blessed her with the opportunity to be part of the adjunct faculty at Concordia University - St.
Paul, where she teaches Youth & Family Ministry in the Colloquy program for future church workers. Currently, she serves as the Director of Family Life Ministry at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia, Minnesota.
Traci is also extremely honored to be serving with Lutheran Hour Ministries since 2007 as a presenter for Equipping to Share and MISSION U. Throughout her various experiences, two things remain constant: The Gospel of Jesus Christ has no language barrier and a living faith is all about relationships. This has equipped her for her passion, which is empowering others to live the faith.

Carolyn is a former school teacher and long-time Equipping to Share presenter. Both Erwin and Carolyn have served as Equipping to Share presenters since 2005 and together have presented more than 50 workshops nationwide.

| Sarah Legband
Sarah Legband is a 2002 graduate of Concordia St. Paul with an Outreach Major. For her internship, she spent two years in Thailand before returning to the United States.

Following graduation, Sarah spent nearly seven years at a Christian drug and alcohol rehabilitation center working as a program staff member, Assistant Dean, and eventually as Dean of Teen Girls. There she started speaking and giving devotions to groups of 300 students.
Sarah currently serves as a Director of Christian Outreach at an LCMS church in Minnesota, where she teaches Bible and Outreach classes and develops outreach and evangelism programs. She is also experienced at speaking for women’s conferences as well as for business meetings.

Jeff Moeller is a veteran director of Christian education and teacher, with more than 21 years of service. He specializes in outreach, discipleship, youth and administrative ministries of the congregation. He has experience in a variety of settings. These include urban, suburban, rural and small city environments, where he has served congregations and schools in Washington, Missouri and Ohio.

Jeff graduated from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska, in 1987 with a bachelor of science degree in education. In 2004 he earned an MBA from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. His career experience includes extensive Synodical and district service, including the Great Commission Convocation, National Youth Gathering, Transforming Congregations and various boards and committees for the Ohio and English Districts.
Jeff is married to Kimberly Haase, an advanced practice nurse. They are blessed with three children: Zachary, Rachel and Natalie. Jeff, Kim and their family enjoy sports, traveling and exploring the wonders of God's creation. They are big fans of the St. Louis Cardinals, even though they currently reside in Akron, Ohio.

Growing up in Oregon, Jamie later moved with her parents to Kentucky. There, from a young age, she participated in the life of Bethany Lutheran Church in Erlanger, Kentucky. It was then she learned about the joys and challenges of living in a Christian community. She later graduated from Wellesley College in Massachusetts, where being part of a campus ministry changed how she thought about Christianity.
Upon returning to Cincinnati, Jamie worked as an economic analyst for a local utility operation and then as a strategic planner for the Cincinnati Zoo's education department. During this time she continued to serve Bethany in a variety of roles.
She eventually earned a master's degree in English and later, as a program director for Notre Dame AmeriCorps in Cincinnati, she completed doctoral research in literature and religion-exploring the idea of literary pilgrimage.
Through her personal journey Jamie has continued to learn how Christ is at the center of all life. When not on campus she enjoys times with family and ventures out on pilgrimages.

Keith Peterson has served The Lutheran Hour as Midwest Regional Manager since February 2012. In this position, he communicates the resources and programs LHM has available for church leaders, congregations and lay members.

Peterson brings a unique perspective to outreach as a former high school teacher and coach. Following his high school teaching career, Keith then spent t six years coaching men's basketball at his alma mater - Concordia University, Chicago followed by a four year coaching stint at North Park University. He then returned to Concordia University in a development role and served as Director of Alumni.
The previous ministries have served as great preparation for his work with Lutheran Hour Ministries. Keith continues to be amazed at the impact The Lutheran Hour has on the Christian community and hopes to make just a small contribution in bringing more people to a relationship with Christ.
Since joining LHM, Peterson has facilitated a Men's retreat - "Man Up!" in Northern Illinois, presented to WI teachers on "LHM Power Tools for Teachers", as well as, facilitated several MU courses.

Joe Regnier is a resident of Ocala, Florida. He attends St. John's Lutheran Church and is active in the Kairos Prison Ministry. He also serves his community as a volunteer in his community in Boy Scouts of America as a troop chaplain and as minister at a local prison.

Joe has been happily married thirteen years to his wife, Heather Lynn. They have two children: Josiah Patrick and Abigail Lee.
Joe is also a Ministry Advancement Officer with Lutheran Hour Ministries, serving the entire east coast (Florida to Maine) donors and their churches. He offers deferred and current gifting solutions for ministry partners to further Lutheran Hour Ministries' mission of "Bringing Christ to the Nations"
Prior to joining LHM, Joe served as a workplace chaplain for Corporate Chaplains of America. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and a Master of Arts degree in Ministry.

Stacey Sender is a full-time executive assistant for a manufacturer in Ohio. She also currently serves as the outreach leader at her home congregation, the Plant Church in Brunswick, Ohio, a mission congregation of Royal Redeemer. Stacey is excited to have this opportunity to use her spiritual gifts to share the good news of God’s love in Jesus Christ. Jeffrey Stephens came to faith as an adult through the invitation of a neighbor. Since that time he has become a Lutheran pastor and completed his doctorate. He graduated with his master of divinity degree from Concordia Theological Seminary in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, in 1983. His vicarage was at Christ Lutheran Church under Rev. Dr. Charles Reimnitz in Lincoln, Nebraska. In 1995 he completed a doctor of ministry degree at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California.

While serving congregations in Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky, Stephens has been involved in new mission starts, evangelism, stewardship, transforming congregations processes and human care.
Stephens has held various leadership positions. These include chairman of evangelism, communications committee chairman, circuit delegate to the Synod convention, district director of ministry resources, vice president of the Northeast Region, and chairman of the evangelism board for the Mid-South District.
Stephens and his wife Susan have two grown sons, Patrick and John. Stephens' hobbies include playing golf, building custom golf clubs, fishing and family.

Stewart retired from Lutheran Hour Ministries in 2007 where she worked as an outreach consultant and urban ministries specialist since 1998. She oversaw the development, promotion, and establishment of evangelistic and devotional operations for Lutheran Hour Ministries’ partner congregations. Her responsibilities included development, marketing, and promotion of print, radio, TV, and Internet resources.
Prior to joining Lutheran Hour Ministries, Stewart served as alumni relations manager at the University of Missouri - St. Louis. In addition, Stewart held the positions of vice president of client services at Catalyst Public Relations in St. Louis, employment and training supervisor at Excellon Automation and personnel manager at Robinson/May in Los Angeles, California.
Stewart teaches communications and writing on a part-time basis at Lindenwood University and St. Louis Community College, respectively.
Stewart earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and a Master of Science in Mass Communications from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. Stewart lives in St. Louis, Missouri. She has one daughter, Pamela Roper, a pediatrician in Chicago.

Mitch and Teri Vogeli live in central Michigan, where Mitch pastors a rural church. They have 30-plus years of experience in teaching, mentoring, youth ministry and church planting in small to large-size congregations. Their passion is helping connect communities to the church in fun and meaningful ways, discipling these congregations to understand how to include the work of the Great Commission in their vocations.

In ministry, Dave has served congregations on outreach boards, Christian day school boards, as a junior high Bible study teacher and as congregational chairman. He's participated in outreach studies, renewal retreats, marriage ministry, mission trips abroad and servant events in his local community-all driven by his desire to see the truth of Christ shared with the people we encounter every day.
Currently finishing his master's degree in Christian outreach through the Director of Christian Outreach program at Concordia University in St. Paul, Minnesota, Dave is serving a DCO internship at Zion Lutheran Church in Maple Heights, Ohio. Afterward, he will seek full-time employment as a director of Christian outreach.
In 2005, Dave had his first experience with Equipping to Share. Since then, he has been promoting Lutheran Hour Ministries and MISSION U workshops as practical evangelism training at the churches he has served. He is a partner in the Outreach Task Force in the Ohio District and is honored to be part of bringing a special coalition of MISSION U to the Ohio District as a presenter.
Since Christ truly became a reality in his life in 1996, Dave has been deeply involved in personal and organizational evangelism efforts. From sharing his own faith to encouraging others in their discipleship, Dave's passion is to see Christians in America living more purposeful lives for Christ. On his journey of growth he has come to understand that a balance of care ministry and evangelism is what builds relationships and leads to revival.
Dave and his wife Carla have been married since 1992; they have three children.

He has served as a missionary with Jews for Jesus and as a missionary to Jamaica with The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod's World Mission. He is pastoral advisor and on the task force for Evangelism for the Ohio District; he is also on the Church Planting Board with Building Hope in the City, Cleveland.
Weist received his bachelor's degree in administration from Michigan State University in Lansing; a M.Div. from Concordia Theological Seminary in Ft. Wayne, Ind., and is nearing completion on his doctorate of ministry degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Ill. He and his wife, Carter, have three children.

Kaye has led numerous workshops and seminars for religious, civic, and business groups. She is a member of the National LWML Gospel Outreach Committee.
Formerly, Kaye served as an LCMS National Mission Affiliate Member and on the Ethnic Immigrant Institute of Theology Advisory Council of Concordia Lutheran Seminary, St. Louis. Kaye and husband Paul live in Southfield, Michigan.
